Darren Greenwood brings a ‘world of experience’ with him to Nub News after a 30-year career. The 52-year-old Yorkshireman started out at the Evening Mail in Barrow-in-Furness and has spent the past couple of years in Lincolnshire, working for the Grantham Journal, Stamford Mercury, Bourne Local and Rutland Times. Career highlights include 16 years spent working in New Zealand and Australia for a variety of community weeklies, daily newspapers and business titles at reporter and editor level. This also included spells freelancing for a wide range of trade press. Since returning to the UK in 2012, Darren has also worked for Newsquest in Essex, Johnston Press in North Lincolnshire and the Grimsby Telegraph. Earlier roles included reporting for the Press & Journal in Aberdeen and the then Derby Evening Telegraph.
